Best Bartender Competition

15th - 18th September 2022

BEST BARTENDER CONTEST - FBH EXHIBITION – 15th September 2022

Venue: Special Events Hall, Bhrikutimandap.

COMPETITION GUIDELINES

The competition is divided into two rounds, preliminary and the finals
 
Preliminary Round (Twisted Classic cocktails, time limit 5 minutes)
 
Maximum of 20 participants accepted from 50 applicants
 
400 audience attendees in one session
 
  1. Participants are to come in professional bartenders attire OR formal OR casual formals
  2. All the participant can bring their own bar kits and glassware as per their cocktails and presentation
  3. A time limit of 5 minutes will apply for cocktail preparation for each candidate
  4. Candidates will prepare 1 classic cocktail where at least 1 flavored mixing agent must be used as an ingredient in the recipe
  5. 2 candidates will prepare cocktails simultaneously in 2 separate stations
  6. The first candidate to finish preparation will begin presenting their products to the judges for comments and further questions from the judges
  7. Once the first candidate leaves the stage, a volunteer will re-set the station in under 1 minute and the 3rd candidate will begin immediately.
  8. This cycle will continue until the 25th candidate is finished.
  9. 6 Candidates will enter the Final round
 
Final Round (Bartenders Special cocktails, time limit 5 minutes)
 
6 candidates will participate
 
A time limit of 5 minutes will apply for cocktail preparation for each candidate. This is in addition to the 1 minute that they get to set up the bar
 
Only 1 participant will be preparing cocktail at any given time (unless competition is behind schedule due to unforeseen circumstances)
 
Candidates will prepare 1 original / signature cocktail where at least 1 flavored  MUST be used as an ingredient in the recipe
 
Once the candidate finishes preparation, he / she will begin presenting their products to the judges for comments and further questions from the judges
 
This cycle will continue until the last candidate is finished.

Food & Beverage Hospitality Exhibition 2022 is focused exclusively on food, beverage & hospitality, the first and only of its kind in Nepal in recognition of the tremendous growth in the sector. While food and beverage has become big revenue source and profit centers for the hotels, restaurants and “party-palaces” have mushroomed beyond anyone’s expectations in the last ten years. Likewise, take-away food outlets, street food vendors, super-markets and grocery stores have popped up in every neighborhood and markets in large numbers.

The 8th Food & Beverage Hospitality Exhibition in Nepal hosts about 200 exhibitors, and features 7 interactive live events. And of course, numerous sample tasting counters during the Exhibition to involve and engage the industry professionals, to highlight the exhibition theme as well as enliven the atmosphere for the visitors.
